Airport train is the most popular way to reach the center of Paris City. The train is convenient, fast and cost effective for individual and small group travel.

Railway Location

The train kicks off from Terminal 2 at the -1 level of the airport. When you arrive at Terminal 2 either 2A,B,C,D,E,F, simply follow the signal of Paris By Train. If your arrival is at Terminal 2G, there is a complimentary bus to transfer you to the train station.
The second point that you can catch the Paris Train at Charles De Gaulle Airport is Roissy Pole or known as Charles De Gaulle 1 which is the nearest pick-up point for passengers who arrive by Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. 

How do the train work

The first train from Airport to Paris city starts at 04.56 am and finish at 23.50. The train is called RER B with direction of Robinson, Antony and St-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse. 
Train stations for Paris by order : Gare du Nord, Châtelet les Halles, St Michel/Nôtre Dame, Luxembourg, Port Royal, Denfert-Rochereau and Cité Universitaire. 

There are ordinary and fast trains. The ordinary train stops at all 9 stations along the way from Airport to Gare Du Nord while the direct train skips all these stops. 

Buying Train Tickets

There are 2 types of machines at the level 1 of the airport, make sure you choose Ile De France machine with the labeles of Billes, Tickets, Paris Ile-de-France Train, RER, Tramway, Metro, Bus.
The machines accepts credit card and coins only. 
Ticket Price 10€ full fare for adult / 7€  for children from 4 to 9 / free for children under 4.

Ride the train

After buying the ticket, descend to train platform at level -1, checking the time and stops at the television screen. The train is very often on time. 
When you are on the train, make sure you load your luggage near your site or your standing place.

Train to Paris is different with Paris Subway
After the operating hour, it is advisory to take night bus or taxi to reach the city.
Pick pocketing still exists on the train, keep your eyes on your belongings, especially when you take regular trains which stops at all stations. 
The non stop or direct train to Gare Du Nord is recommended as there are less travelers and safer than others.
